Since I started playing online on World of Warcraft, Phyele has become my middle name. In January 2018, together with my gaming crew, I started streaming on Twitch using that name for my channel.
This experience allowed me to apply my communication design knowledge in a field new to me, to challenge myself in cultivating a community in my spare time, and to explore that one-of-a-kind way to bind and interact with the viewers.
The Italian streaming scene is full of single streamers, but streamer groups are much rarer. For this reason, we decided to create an identity for our gaming group and their components.
The Twitch's panels welcome viewers and provide them with information when the streamer is offline. The squared modular system is designed to allow content flexibility according to the different screen resolutions.
The stream cover gives the streamer 5 minutes bonus to focus and get ready for the show but, if catchy enough, can capture the viewers' gaze, pushing them to enter the channel.
By approaching the design of the in-game overlays, I decided that they should be different for each game, not intrusive and as much as possible blended into the HUD.
